Using Drag & Drop
Drag and drop can be used for the following purposes

Moving or copying files and folders between folders in the same document
library

Moving or copying files and folders between different document libraries within
the same area or subsite.

Moving or copying files between document libraries on different areas or sites.
It it not possible to move or copy folders between different sites.
Browser Compatibility
Drag and Drop requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later.
Drag Sources
If the web part has drag and drop enabled and the client browser supports it,
then the user can drag the files and folders by clicking and dragging an item
in the column type "
Drop Targets
There are two types of drop targets to which users can drag file or folder
items from the file viewer.

Items on the treeview
-
Items on the breadcrumb
Permissions
Treeview and breadcrumb items will only act as drop targets if the user has
insert or edit permissions on the destination document library.
In order to perform a move operation between document libraries, the user must
have insert list item permissions on the destination library and delete
list item permissions on the source library.
In order to perform a move within a document library, the user must have edit
list item permissions on that library
In order to perform a copy operation, the user must have insert item permissions
on the destination library
